Japenese Knotweed

For our third year we made a group exhibition project at the AG revolving around AI. For our research on A.I. @lalalannick, @florinewiii and me compared the Japanese Knotweed to artificial intelligence. The Japanese Knotweed came to the Netherlands years ago and is now officially one of the most invasive plant species in our country. The plant is able to spread itself quickly through it's large root beds underground. Once it starts growing somewhere it can overtake whole ecosystems. The Dutch goverment has now taken extreme steps to try to control and get rid of the plant all around the country. In Japan however the plant is used for medicine, food & drink. I took this as a great oppurtinity to practice and play around with ceramics and also to make a last minute publication where I very much experimented with color, typography and image.
